The last 2cv was produced at 4pm on July 27, 1990 in the Citroen Mangualde factory, in Portugal. This factory was the only place in the world that the 2cv was assembled during the last three years of production and since Citroen stopped making it in France, during 1988.

The 18th International Meeting of Citroen 2CV friends will take place from July 28 to August 2nd, 2009 around the land belonging to racecourse Hipodrom Most a.s. - in Velebudice u Mostu, in the Czech Republic. 2cv celebrates 60 years in 2008 and a new model might be on the way

In 1948, the world was presented to one of the most famous and interesting European cars ever, the Citroën Deux Chevaux or 2CV. In 2008, the car celebrates its 60th anniversary and there is a possibility that a new version will be built in 2009, specially after what happened with the resurrection of other famous models such as VW Beetle, Fiat 500 and the Mini. But there is nothing official yet. Let’s hope to see if that happens during the international meeting of 2cv friends that will take place in the Czech Republic in July 2009.
